Website-Greg Lohse

Discussion

Subscription (Renewal) fees for the site are due on 5/14/15 at $595/year.

Domain name is also a subscription – we can buy a bigger subscription for a discount.  The website is a ‘.net’ right now, do we want to buy the ‘.com’ domain as well?  That way no matter what our parents, players, etc type in, it will bring them to the correct website.

Greg will figure out the cost of subscription & upgrades and we will go ahead with improving the website.

Action Item(s)

Greg Lohse to work on website upgrades.

Agenda Item

By-Laws  Paul Lombard

Discussion

Currently, the Basketball Boosters do not have By-Laws. Paul Lombard and Randy Doppler have created a set of By-Laws and are still fine tuning them.  By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation will be brought to the next meeting and will be voted on.

Action Item(s)

Paul Lombard will finish By-laws and bring them to Boosters for a vote.

Tournament Planning-Paul Lombard

Discussion

Paul met with Gary Gave to work on the tournament. We are working on securing venues as Oakview MS is no longer on the table for another location.  We will need at least 2-3 locations.  We will also need a large number of volunteers: parent, site managers, and concessions.  We will work on better communicating to our parents about the volunteer responsibility.  We plan on emailing the people we already have in our program to get a head start on communicating dates and duties for the tournament.

Action Item(s)

None- work in progress!

Agenda Item

Kollegetown Apparel

Discussion

Zach, the Rep. from Kollegetown Apparel brought us in samples and gave us uniform ideas and pricing.  Prices ranged from $18/piece to fill out any size gaps in our existing varsity uniforms to $23-$28 for screen printed pieces and then $70-$88 per set for sublimated uniforms.  Other variables are screen printed numbers or tackle twill.  The school will pay for $3600 worth of uniforms and the Boosters will cover the rest. Varsity uniforms will be moved to the Soph/Fresh classes so they are all the same.  Booster club expense looks to be around $2000.00.

Action Item(s)

Coach Tohm will pick out uniforms!

Camps, Clinics, & Skills

Discussion

All information for camps is on the website.  Armstrong, ARCC and MEB are the camps Coach wants the kids to do as well as the High School camp.  MEB will be August 3,4,&5.  Armstrong and ARCC will overlap 1 week.  Tornado Force information will also be posted to the website.

ARAA will make a contribution to Coach for running youth summer skills. On the first morning of Tornado Force, the Dopplers suggested a table with forms for those who haven’t paid yet and to help direct kids.

Action Item(s)

Greg/Sally post camp items to website.

Agenda Item

Equipment-Coach Tohm

Discussion

For youth development, we need Jr. size basketballs and mesh bags.  #1 want is shooting straps around 50 or so.  Sell them to the kids at the camp. Other needs are:cones, poly spots, varsity basketballs.  Also discussed using the NOAH Shooting System which measures arc of shot, tracks the ball, does amazing things! Talk about purchasing this item which would be a one time purchase and a permanentfixture.
