This is Coach Tohm's second year as the varsity head coach. He has been a varsity assistant and coaching high school basketball since 2006. Ryan has also coached football and baseball for nine years, primarily at Anoka High School, for a combined 24 seasons of coaching experience between the three sports. In high school, Coach Tohm played varsity football, basketball and baseball and was captain of the basketball and baseball teams. Coach Tohm attended Bemidiji State University where he earned a B.A. in Art and a B.S. in Design Technology while also playing four years of football for the Fighting Beavers. After graduating from BSU, Ryan taught Driver's Education, did freelance graphic design work and worked as a basketball referee while earning his teaching certification at the University of Minnesota. Since then, Coach Tohm has taught mostly 3D Art in the Anoka Hennepin School District, including ceramics and sculpture. Coach Tohm lives in Ramsey with his wife, Janessa and enjoys playing softball and basketball in multiple men's leagues.
Coach Sparstad Graduated from Augsburg College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and the University of Minnesota with a Masters of Education degree in Physical Education. Coach has been teaching in the Anoka-Hennepin school district for the last 25 years. Tim’s basketball coaching experience includes; playing in high school and college, coaching middle school teams, coaching as an assistant varsity coach at Bloomington Kennedy and Centennial high school, directing Sparder Basketball- servicing local area youth with camps, and clinics focusing on skill development. Tim’s wife Tonia, and two kids, Grant and Kallie live in Oak Grove.

Wil Vaughn played on a high school basketball team that made it to the State of Maryland's elite-8 two consecutive years. After high school, he played at High Point University in North Carolina. Coach Vaughn started his coaching career in 2004 at Page High School in Greensboro, NC as an assistant coach. During the 2005-06 season, Wil was an assistant basketball coach Osceola High School in Florida and was the head coach the following year. Coach Vaughn has worked as a Diplomatic Security (DS) Special Agent since 2007. He has served in Washington, DC at the field office and as a part of the Secretary of State Protective Detail. After in D.C., Wil learned Arabic before heading to the US Embassy in Kuwait. Before joining DS, Coach Vaughn served in the US Army Reserves with a combat tour in Iraq (2003-04) and a six month tour in Afghanistan (2005) Coach Vaughn is married with two children and likes to read crime and economic novels, bike, swim, play soccer and politics.
Zach DeBeltz is an Anoka graduate who was an all-state football player, an all-conference basketball player, also played baseball and was a captain in all three sports. Zack then played four years of football at Concordia and was invited to the D3 All-Star Game his senior year. At Concordia, Zack earned his B.S. in Exercise Science and his coaching minor. Coach DeBeltz has done personal training and worked at 1st Athlete as a strength coach where he had the opportunity to work with professional athletes. Zack is currently working at Anoka High School as a paraeducator and coaches defensive backs for the varsity football team.
Scott is a graduate of Fosston High School were he participate in golf, track, baseball, basketball and football. After high school, Scott attended Concordia College where he earned degrees in Biology and Chemistry. Coach Boline then went to the University of Minnesota where he achieved his certification in Science Education and later earned his Master's Degree in Learning Technology from St. Thomas University. In 1990, Scott began teaching at Anoka High School and has coached basketball from 1990-1996 and again from 2001-2008. Scott has also coached golf at Anoka since 1998 and coached tennis this fall. In his spare time, Scott enjoys fishing, hunting, technology, cars and spending time with his wife, Susan, and their four daughters.
Josh is a graduate of North Iowa High School in Buffalo Center, Iowa. After high school, Josh earned a degree in Youth Ministry and Bible at Northwestern College in St. Paul. Josh is now the Senior Pastor at Hope Fellowship Church. For the past 12 years, Josh has been a basketball coach in Anoka, including five years as a JV and varsity assistant coach. Josh has also coached 12 years of football at the freshman, sophomore and varsity levels. Other coaching experience includes six seasons of track and one season of baseball. In his spare time, Josh can also spin a basketball on his finger and bounce it off his knee and head and catch it again on his finger.
Pete Aldrich has been coaching basketball at Anoka for five years. This is Coach Aldrich's fourth year with the sophomore team. He has also coached soccer at the high school for four years. He played varsity soccer and basketball at Anoka and graduated in 2007. He then went on and graduated with a degree in Law Enforcement from North Hennepin Community College. Coach Aldrich has worked at Running Aces Casino as a lead track/facilities worker. He is now working for an insurance agency. He enjoys spending time with his family, nephew and girlfriend.
